  1. Thank you for trying AC4HZ Logger!

  3. Since most people don't bother reading all the reams of documentation
  4. that come with most software packages, I thought I would make this as 
  5. brief as possible.  This program is extremely easy to use, so I didn't
  6. waste a lot of time writing lengthy documentation for it.
  7.  
  8. INSTALLATION 
  9. Unzip the files into a directory.  When you are through you should see
  10. LOG.EXE and several files with ".DBF" on the end.  LOG.EXE is the 
  11. executable and the ".DBF" files are database files.
  12.  
  13. RUNNING
  14. -------
  15. To run the program, make sure you are in the directory where you put 
  16. all the files when you unzipped then.  Type: LOG and press return.
  17. The first time through, you will be asked to enter a few parameters
  18. that are used when making log entries and printing reports.
  19.  
  20. CALL SIGN:  This is your call sign.  It will appear on any reports that 
  21.             you print.
  22.  
  23. GMT OFFSET: The number of hours you add to local time to get GMT.
  24.  
  25. DEFAULT MODE:  This is the MODE that will be prepopulated into the mode
  26.                field when you are adding entries to your log.  I run 
  27.                mostly CW, so I put A1 here.
  28.  
  29. DEFAULT RST:   This is the RST that will be prepopulated into the RST
  30.                fields when you are adding log entries to your log.  I
  31.                put 599 here.

  33. ADDING ENTRIES
  34. --------------
  35. To add an entry to your log, press INS from the main log screen.  
  36. Enter data in the blank screen...that's all there is to it!

  41. I originally wrote this program for my own use, but others saw it
  42. and suggested that I make it available as shareware.  I am not trying
  43. to get rich - registration is only $10.00.  Let your conscience be 
  44. your guide.  (I put a lot of hours into the development of the software
  45. and my daughter needs new shoes.)
